SAFARI Commander Broadband Wireless Mesh Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Infrastructure Station

Public Safety agencies and military organizations the world over rely upon Land Mobile Radio (LMR), trunked and conventional radio systems to provide mission critical communications. The ability to net these systems into a high speed and robust network to support tactical and non-tactical operation is key to achieving the full benefits of that advanced LMR radio technology offers today.

The SAFARI Commander is a standards based net-centric media independent (wireless, wire, satelite, microwave, fiber) mesh backhaul transport system designed to provide the most demanding LMR users and operators with a robust, yet easy to use, end-to-end solution for quickly and economically establishing tactical Command, Control and Communication connectivity between fixed and mobile dispatch centers and field operations.

  • Compatible with all major APCO P25 open system architecture digital LMR manufacturers e.g. Motorola, EF Johnson, Tait, M/A COM, Raytheon
  • Provides T1 or greater wide-area full-duplex IP services

  • Supports VHF/UHF and 800 MHz LMR systems with OTAR capability and the AES encryption algorithm
  • Additional security options available (e.g. FIP140-2/3)

  • Powerful SAFARIView embedded Operations, Administration and Maintenance (OA&M) application provides total on-line support and diagnostics
  • Configuration options support simultaneous operation of V.24 (Motorola, AstroTac & Quantar) and network (Ethernet) ready LMR radios e.g. M/A Com Tait, EF Johnson
  • Independent monitoring and control of each LMR radio service port
  • Transport support for independent RS-232 and Ethernet devices
  • Single integrated 14U transportable package in a ready-to-go rugged mil-style design
  • 19" rack mounted kit available for fix installation
  • Universal power options 90-230 VAC, 12 VDC, 24 VDC, -48 VDC
  • Fully compatible with Cisco routers and all standard IETF protocols
  • SNMPv2 support
  • VoIP station-to-station and multi-station conferencing
